Add and import guests
Add guests one at a time, attach family members to one invitation, or import a whole spreadsheet from a CSV file.
Updated October 7, 2026
Your guest list lives on the Guests (in your dashboard: Guests) page. You can add people one at a time or bring in a spreadsheet.
Add one guest
Open the form
On the Guests page, click "Add Guest".Fill in the details
Enter the guest's "Name". "Email (optional)" and "Phone Number (optional)" can be left blank and added later.Pick a side
"Side (optional)" is "Partner 1", "Partner 2" or "Both". It helps the AI seating tool group guests by who they know.Save
Click "Add Guest".
The form also has optional fields for how you know the guest, a mailing address, the guest's language and "Allow plus-one".
Add family members
Family members share one invitation: they use the same invitation code and RSVP together. Add them to the guest they're invited with, rather than creating separate guests.
Start from the main guest
In the "Add New Guest" form, scroll to "Family Members (optional)". To add family to a guest you've already saved, open that guest instead. If you already added them as separate guests, open the main guest and use "Link an existing guest".Add each person
Type a name, and an email if you have one, then click the add button next to it.Save
Click "Add Guest" (or "Save Changes" on an existing guest).
If you've typed a family member but haven't added them yet, you'll be asked to add or clear them before you can save.
Import a spreadsheet
Get the template
On the Guests page, select the "⋯" button next to the filters and choose "Import CSV". In the "Import Guests from CSV" window, click "Download Template".Fill it in
Use the columns Name, Email, Phone, Table, Group, Plus One and Language. Only Name is needed for each row. Give family members the same value in Group to put them on one invitation. Put Yes in Plus One to allow a plus-one, and English or French in Language.Upload it
Drop your CSV file into the window, or click "Browse Files".Review and edit
On "Review & Edit Guests", fix names, emails and phone numbers, assign groups, or remove rows. You can also make someone the primary guest of their group.Import
Click the "Import" button, which shows how many guests you're about to add.
Check for duplicates
While you review, WedKit flags a row as a possible duplicate when a guest with the same name or email already exists. The count of possible duplicates and errors appears at the top of the review screen. Remove any rows you don't want before you import.
Rows with an invalid email or table number, or no name, show an error. Fix them first.
Don't use commas inside a cell, for example "Smith, John". Write the name as "John Smith" instead, or the row's columns will shift.
