Email and text your guests
Send save the dates, invitations, RSVP and meal reminders, seating links and custom notes by email, and know exactly when guests also get a text.

Everything you send to guests goes out from one place: Send Messages (in your dashboard: Send Messages). You pick a type of message, choose who gets it, review it and send. We send it as email, and as a text too for guests who have agreed to texts.
Send a message
Choose a type
Under "1. Choose type", pick the message you want to send. The types are listed below.Choose your recipients
Under "2. Recipients & send", we pre-select the likely guests for the type you picked (for example, everyone for "Invitations", guests who haven't replied for "RSVP Reminders"). Adjust the selection as needed: tick the guests you want. You can search by name, email or phone, filter by "All guests", "Attending", "Pending", "Declined" or "No contact info", use "Select all", or narrow the list with "Tags". The bar at the bottom shows how many guests you've selected and how many can be reached.Review and send
Select "Review & Send". Edit the subject and message where the type allows it, use "Preview Email" to see what guests will get, then select "Send to # Guests".
The message types
- "Save the Date" is an early heads-up so guests can hold the date. It goes by email only.
- "Invitations" sends your RSVP invitations by email, with each guest's invitation code. It goes by email only.
- "RSVP Reminders" nudges guests who haven't RSVP'd. Only guests who haven't replied are included.
- "Meal Selection" sends the meal selection form. Only guests who are attending are included.
- "Meal Reminders" reminds guests to pick a meal. Only guests who are attending are included.
- "Seating Charts" shares the link to your seating chart. Only guests who are attending are included.
- "Custom Message" is a free-form note to the guests you select.
If you haven't created your meal courses yet, the meal types show "Set up meals first". Set them up in Offer meal choices and come back.
The list shows one row per group. Ticking a group sends the message to everyone in it that the type applies to, such as a guest and their plus-one.
When guests also get a text
Guests are only texted if they have a phone number and have agreed to text messages. They agree by ticking the SMS consent box on the RSVP form, so a guest who hasn't RSVP'd yet hasn't agreed. That's why "Save the Date" and "Invitations" are email-only. We don't text guests who haven't agreed, even if you've added their number yourself.
For every other type, guests who agreed also get a text version of the message. Guests who have an email address get the email as well. The review screen sorts your selection into "Email Only", "SMS Only", "Both Methods" and "Unreachable" so you can see who gets what before you send.
If some selected guests have a phone number but haven't agreed, the review screen tells you how many and lists them. They'll only receive the email unless they opt in to texts on the RSVP form. Guests with no email who haven't agreed to texts show as unreachable.
Texts are short. For "RSVP Reminders" and "Custom Message", the review screen shows an SMS length counter that warns you when your message would be split into several texts or is too long to send. To skip texts for one of these two types, turn on "Send by email only".
The "SMS" count in the bar at the bottom counts every selected guest with a phone number, whether or not they've agreed to texts. The count in the review screen is the one to trust.
If Save the Date mode is still active
When you choose "Invitations" while your site is still showing the Save the Date card, you'll see "Save the Date mode is still active". Guests who follow their invitation would land on the card instead of your full site. Turn it off in Save the Date (in your dashboard: Save the Date) before you send.
See what was sent
Communications (in your dashboard: Communications) keeps a history of every email and text you've sent. You can see who received each one, and whether it shows as "Sent", "Delivered", "Failed", "Bounced" or "Complained". Check it if a guest says they never got their message.
