Offer meal choices
Set up courses and options, let guests choose during the RSVP or by link, and see what everyone picked.
Updated October 7, 2026
By the end of this guide your guests will be able to pick their meals, and you'll have a list of every choice, with dietary needs beside each name. Everything starts on the Meal Selections (in your dashboard: Meal Selections) page.
Set up your courses and options
Create your courses
Open the "Meal Setup" tab and add a course for each part of the meal, for example Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert. Tick "Required (guests must select from this course)" if every guest has to choose.
Add options to each course
For each course, add the dishes guests can choose from, such as "Grilled Salmon" or "Vegetarian Pasta". Guests pick one option per course. You can restrict an option to guests with dietary restrictions: only guests who have told us about a restriction will see it.
Set a deadline (optional)
Under "Meal Selection Deadline", pick a date. It saves as soon as you choose it. We include it in every meal selection email and reminder. If you leave it empty, guests aren't shown a deadline.
Courses and options can be reordered by dragging. If you delete an option that guests have already picked, we ask whether to reassign them to another option or delete it without reassigning, so they pick again.
Collect choices during the RSVP
Go to RSVP Settings (in your dashboard: RSVP Settings), open the "Settings" tab, and turn on "Allow meal selection during RSVP" in the "RSVP Form" section. Guests then choose their meals as part of the RSVP. If you haven't created any courses yet, that setting shows a "Configure meals" link instead.
Or send meal links later
If you'd rather ask after the RSVPs are in, use Send Messages (in your dashboard: Send Messages):
- "Meal Selection" sends each guest a link to their meal form.
- "Meal Reminders" nudges guests who haven't chosen yet.
Both are greyed out until you've set up at least one course. When you pick one, attending guests are selected for you. The email includes the meal selection link and, if you set one, the deadline. Guests who agreed to texts also get the link by text.
See what guests chose
Open the "Guest Selections" tab. It lists every attending guest with their picks, and shows guests who haven't chosen under "Guests Without Meal Selections". From here you can:
- Copy a guest's meal selection link.
- Delete all of one guest's selections, so they show as "No selection" again.
- Download everything with "Export CSV".
Dietary needs
Guests tell us about dietary needs on the RSVP form: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut allergy, shellfish allergy or other, plus a free-text note. They appear beside each guest's name in the "Guest Selections" tab, and as "Dietary Restrictions" and "Dietary Notes" columns in the CSV, which you can hand to your caterer.
Meal choices only apply to guests who have RSVP'd as attending. Guests who haven't replied yet won't appear in the list.
