Build your seating chart

Drag guests onto tables, set table sizes, let AI suggest a layout, and share the chart with guests.

Updated October 7, 2026

By the end of this guide every guest will have a seat, and your guests will be able to look up their table. You'll do it all on the Seating (in your dashboard: Seating) page.

Seat your guests

  1. Set your table size

Click "Settings" and enter a number under "Max guests per table". It saves automatically and starts at 8. This is a default: if you change the capacity of a single table on its card, that table's number wins.

  2. Add a sweetheart table (optional)

In "Settings", tick "Enable sweetheart table". It seats up to 2 guests.

  3. Pick a table style

In "Settings", under "Table style", choose Round, Rectangular, Banquet or Head table for how tables are drawn. You can change a single table from its diagram.

  4. Drag guests onto tables

Drag each guest from "Unassigned Guests" onto a table. You can search guests and filter them by RSVP status (all, attending, pending, declined). On a phone, tap a guest, then tap a table. With a keyboard, focus a guest and press Enter to select them, then choose a table.

You can also reorder tables: change a table's number, or move it earlier or later, and the other numbers shift so the sequence has no gaps. A table shows "Over capacity!" if you seat more guests than it holds.

If you untick "Enable sweetheart table" while guests are seated there, we ask you to confirm. Choosing "Disable and unassign" moves them back to the unassigned list.

Download the chart

Click "Download CSV" and choose how to order it: "Table number", "Guest name (A–Z)" or "RSVP status".

Let AI suggest a layout

The "AI seating" panel builds a proposal from each guest's side and their "How we know them" note, keeping households and plus-ones together.

  1. Click "Suggest with AI".
  2. Review the "Proposed seating". The sweetheart table is left untouched.
  3. Click "Apply seating", or "Cancel" to discard it.

Declined guests are skipped, and guests who haven't replied get a tentative seat. If AI isn't available, or guests have no side or note, we pack tables by household size instead and say so. If a household doesn't fit anywhere, we tell you to raise a table's capacity or add tables. The panel's text is in English in both languages.

Every applied suggestion is saved. Open "History" and click "Restore" to go back to an earlier layout.

Share the chart with guests

  1. On the Seating page, tick "Enable public seating page". This adds a "Seating" link to your wedding website ("Plan de table" on a French site) and a "Print sign" button to the page.
  2. In Send Messages (in your dashboard: Send Messages), choose "Seating Charts". Attending guests are selected for you, and the email includes a link to the seating chart. Guests who agreed to texts also get the link by text.

Guests open the link, search for their name and see their table and who sits with them. If invitation code protection is on for your site, they enter their invitation code first. Only guests who are attending and assigned a table appear.

Until you tick "Enable public seating page", the link in your email won't show a chart. It sends guests back to your wedding website instead.
