Create your wedding website

Start your free trial, check your web address and set up your site in a few minutes.

Updated October 7, 2026

You can have a wedding website live in a couple of minutes. The free trial lasts 7 days and you don't need a card to start.

All you need is your names, your wedding date and an email address you can open.

  1. Start your free trial

Go to wedkit.ca and select "Start free trial". The sign-up page opens with a short form.

  2. Enter your names, email and date

Under "Wedding Names", type your names the way you want them to appear as the headline of your site, for example "Alex & Jorden". Add your email under "Your Email" and pick your date under "Wedding Date".

If you're already signed in, your email is filled in for you.

  3. Check your web address

Your address appears under "Your URL" as you type. We build it from your names, in lowercase with dashes, so "Alex & Jorden" becomes alex-jorden. Your site lives at wedkit.ca/w/ followed by that address. When it looks right, select "Continue".

  4. Pick a style

Choose an art direction as a starting point. Colours, fonts, hero layout and section order can all be changed once your site exists, and you can switch art direction at any time. Select "Create Website".

  5. Save your site to your account

If you weren't signed in, you land on "Claim your wedding site". Continue with Google, set a password, or use the 6-digit code we emailed you. The email we send also has a link to save your site from any browser. You can switch between the password and the code with the link under the button.

If you were already signed in, you skip this step and go straight to your dashboard.

What happens next

You land in your dashboard, where a welcome wizard lists the first steps: add venue details, add your first guests, customize your site theme and send your first invitations. Each task shows a rough time and a "Do it now" button. Select "I'll do this later" to close the list, and reopen it any time with "Setup guide" on your dashboard.

Start with Wedding Details (in your dashboard: Wedding Details) to check your names, date and venues, then add your guests.

Good to know

Choose your web address carefully. It's set from your names when the site is created, and there's no way to change it from the dashboard. If you need to change it, email us at hello@wedkit.ca.

  • If the address is already taken, you'll see a message asking you to choose a different name.
  • Only one site can be created per email address.
  • The sign-up page is currently in English only.
